I have childhood memories of riding my horse through Gravenstein Apple orchards---loving and observing the beauty of nature.
My later education includes over 40 years of art classes and workshops.
I have studied ceramics and painting in California, Mexico, and Hawai’i.
My training at Linecona Academy of Art in Honolulu opened my eyes to tropical plants and animals, alive with colors.
There I developed my current means of expression, by incorporating vibrant color and line on paper.
Transparent watercolor paints are thrilling to apply to paper.
But my real passion is adding line to wet or dry paper using my favorite aquarelles; watercolor pencils, pens, and crayons.
When you stop by my studio, please ask me to demonstrate my use of aquarelles, and my painting techniques to you.
I paint for the pure enjoyment of the experience.
If I can include you in some way—that becomes a total bonus for me.
